Relive the celebrity world of Cecil Beaton and his photographic exploits of the 20th century at the V&A. Friday Late, every month at the museum, presents the best in live performances, the newest leading fashion, debates, pop-up displays and special guests. Attendees can enjoy food and drinks at the bar, music by guest DJs and experience exhibitions in the late hours.
On this occasion, attendees can socialize and enjoy cocktails in the vein of Beaton’s royal and celebrity subjects. The event is inspired by Beaton’s celebrated photographic works from the late 1920s of bright young things; the glamorous yet ethereal youth dressed in silk, ruffs and frills as though part of an other worldly aristocracy.
Guests are encouraged to participate in the theme of classic glamour by donning top hats, tiaras and other such delicate and stylish early 20th century dress.
