A showcase of exclusive photographs celebrates British photography from the end of the war to the present
An extensive exhibit of 70 photographs from V&A’s collection will display the evolution of photography in the UK. Each piece will tell a story of the British people, their diversity and their artistic vision throughout the decades.
The admired works of Elspeth Juda and Maurice Broomfield will feature, both regarded for visualizing Britain developing soon after the war. Their works gave an aesthetic appeal to industrial scenes. Raymond Moore’s simple yet affecting photography from the 60s will also be presented, along with many national talents who have contributed to the changing image of Britain.
