A vibrant retrospective exploring the life of the man behind one of London's most celebrated rock 'n' roll clothing outlets.

Johnson's of Chelsea- along with its sister store in Kensington Market- once cited Bob Dylan, The Clash, Jack Nicholson, Chrissie Hynde, Rod Stewart and Fred Astaire as fans; operating at the crossroads of fashion and music from the mid-sixties right up until the early noughties, this rock 'n' roll clothing emporium is truly legendary. This exhibition celebrates the man who ran the business, with an impressive selection of garments, textiles, artwork, personal effects and ephemera on display, as well as bringing together key pieces of clothing from customers and collectors from around the world. An exhibition not to be missed, for music and fashion fans alike.
