Wilton's presents a Peter Joucla stage production of F Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel 'The Great Gatsby'.

Expect late night foxtrots, moonshine in teapots, pearls and flappers, bootleggers and millionaires. A series of rooms at the Wilton's will be converted into scenes inspired by the book, and before the show from 6pm, during the interval and after the show, there will be live bands and dancers to transport audiences back to the heyday of 1920s America.

Published a year before the catastrophic collapse of the American stock markets, Fitzgerald’s novel graphically portrays a society being destroyed by money and dishonesty, an American Dream of happiness and individualism degenerating into the pursuit of wealth.
