1910s 48 Star United States Flag
The highly symbolic 48 star flag dates back to 1912 when two further stars were added due to the introduction of states, New Mexico and Arizona, into the United States of America. The thirteen stripes on the flag represent the thirteen original colonies of America. The design of this flag lasted until 1959 when the state of Alaska was added.
