1940s Russian Hillwalking Travel Poster

Wonderful vintage 1940s Russia hillwalking travel poster.

Lithograph in colours printed entirely in the Russian/Cyrillic language in Moscow, 1947, promoting the benefits of hillwalking in the Russian mountains of the former USSR. Russian activity posters are increasingly collectible and this is no exception; offered in solid, original condition with excellent original colouration. Scarce.

The poster artist Macaob has pictured a strong Russian male as the prominent figure in the poster against a background of beautiful mountainous countryside and blue skies. The hillwalker is bathed in sunlight and looks both relaxed and contemplative as he pauses to survey the scenery around him.

In very good B+ condition - the poster may have some slight paper loss or yellowing to the paper but lines and colours are good.
