1945 Evelyn Waugh 'Brideshead Revisited' rare First UK Edition book.
A first edition, first printing of 'Brideshead Revisited' published by Chapman and Hall in 1945. A very good (or better) copy which has recently been bound in full rich red leather complete with gilt titles. This is the first issue and not the Book Society version. one light stain to the page block. A collector's copy of Waugh most famous work.
'Brideshead Revisited' by Evelyn Waugh, set in the Golden Age before the Second World War, tells the story of Charles Ryder and his enchantment with the privileged and glamorous Marchmain family. The book was made into a TV mini-series starring Jeremy Irons in 1981, and a film in 2008.
