Vintage Seekers says
Cees Braakman (1917-1975) was one of the most influential designers of the Netherlands. Inspired by the works of Eames at Herman Miller, he introduced the plywood bending techniques to manufacturers Pastoe, creating their first line of modern furniture. Showing efficient and forward thinking, Braakman's designs paved the way for success for Pastoe during the 50s and 60s. Testament to Braackman's popularity, is that his credenzas have sold for over $6000-$9000 at Wright auctions in Chicago over the last eight years.
