Vintage Seekers says
Robin Day is a British industrial and furniture designer who attended the Royal College of Art before making a name for himself at the 1951 Festival of Britain. He and his wife Lucienne Day, a textile designer, are renowned as a couple for transforming the post-war British design landscape and this sideboard is a classic example of their work. Made up of a teak case with rosewood doors this sideboard sits on black ebonised legs. Intricately detailled brass insert handles give an aesthetically pleasing contrast against the rosewood doors.
