Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
Vintage 1956 Omega Seamaster gentleman's wrist watch. 18ct gold 34mm case on leather strap. Automatic movement.
The Omega story began in 1848 at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, when its founder Louis Brandt at the age of 23 opened a comptoir d'etablissage, a sub-contracting sales office for watch manufacture. Over 160 years on, the Omega company holds the the most records for time-keeping. The Omega Seamaster, the first deep-sea diving watch, was released in 1948, and they were intended as 'rugged, high precision sports watches'. Early examples of the model are difficult to find and rarely offered for sale.
