Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
1966 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 in two-tone British Racing Green and Ivory.
XYY 222F is an excellent example of the Austin Healey 3000 MKII phase 2 (BJ8) car. This is one of the last cars built (October 1967) and was originally exported to the USA.
In 1990 the car was imported into France and passed the controle technique on the 8th August 1990 and was given the number 3000TA22. In December 1990 the car underwent a ground up restoration, chassis, interior, body and engine. The restoration was finished by a professional company (German Auto in Guidel) which was completed in February 1992. A full photo album is available of the restoration. It would therefore be simple to re import the car back to France.
In 2011 we serviced the car and our master craftsman crafted a mohair hood bag to fit the car.
The car was relocated back to the UK 2 years ago.
A full file of bills demonstrates that the car has always been well maintained and kept in the very good condition that it is in today.
The car drives beautifully and is recommended if you seek a fine example of the last of the line of the bi Healeys. I recommend an inspection and test drive to verify that this car should be amongst or at the top of your list
