1970s Courrèges Red and Black Colour Block Suit

Incredible vintage 1970s Courrèges Red and Black colour block two piece suit.

Jacket has three silver buttons down front and on the sleeves. Two pockets on the front. Skirt zips up back with button closure. Fully lined in Courrèges logo lining.

André Courrèges started in fashion under Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1948 and later launched his own label in 1961. His creations were youthful, innovative and futuristic for their time. He is credited for the invention of the mini skirt alongside legendary 60s designer Mary Quant. Courrèges' designs were interpreted by every mass manufacturer, a credit to his influence on fashion in this daring and street-wise decade.
