Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
A fantastic pair of vintage 1970s Eames lounge chairs model EA116.
This series, first designed in 1958, is a 20th century icon and a classic piece of design. The aluminium frame and hopsack cover fit snug to the body creating an amazing seating experience while looking stunning from every angle.
This great pair of chairs dates from the early 1970s and is stamped Herman Miller.
Good original vintage condition. The hopsack has some light marks with no major damage. The gel cover to the arms is wearing a little thin but the chairs still look great.
With a grand sense of adventure, Charles and Ray Eames turned their curiosity and boundless enthusiasm into creations that established them as a truly great husband-and-wife design team.
Their unique synergy led to a whole new look in furniture; lean and modern, playful and functional, sophisticated, and beautifully simple. That was and is the "Eames look".
As well as furniture design, Charles and Ray Eames worked in architecture, industrial design and manufacturing, and film making. The designs of Charles and Ray Eames are all characterised by their modern, functional and sophisticated style. The Eameses are considered among America's most influential furniture designers, shaping the look of the post-war era.
Price listed is for the pair, or £725 each.
