Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona in Celeste Blue with Red Hide and Light Blue Carpets.

The Daytona was first introduced to the public at the Paris Auto Salon in 1968, replacing the 275 GTB4. Despite originally being titled 365 GTB4, Enzo Ferrari christened it the 'Daytona' after the remarkable 1-2-3 race win and the media followed suit.

The car's sharp-edged design more closely resembled a Lamborghini, although like most of the previous Ferraris it was still a Pininfarina design - indeed, the Daytona was designed to rival the mid-engined Lamborghini Miura. A credible supercar, the Daytona boasts a powerful 4390cc V12 engine with twin wishbone suspension and five-speed transmission that pushes an impressive 354bhp to the back wheels. A top speed of 174mph and the capacity to accelerate 0-60mph in 5.4 seconds positioned it as the finest long-distance cruiser of its generation. Models from 1971 onwards are differentiated with retractable pop-up headlights, replacing the original quad lights that sat behind a glass cover.

Special order car for Colonel Bob Roberts from Colonel Ronnie Hoare. Complete history from new. Full handbooks, leather wallet and tool roll. Probably the best original example surviving.
