An original US film poster concept artwork for The Man who Fell To Earth (1976). Art by Tony Wright.
Poster concept artworks were the small scale initial designs of illustrators and poster designers. They would be shown to the directors and producers of a movie, and if approved, would go on to be used to design the larger posters.
'The Man Who Fell to Earth' starred David Bowie as Thomas Jerome Newton, a humanoid alien from a dying planet who travels to Earth in an effort to save his homeland. Starting a technology company to make money, he is unprepared for the ruthlessness of the business world.
