Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
Three magnums of 1977 Quarles Harris Port presented in individual wooden boxes. A Port that will have an excellent structure in years to come.
Quarles Harris have been making and buying wines for centuries from vineyards in the Rio Torto and Pinhão valleys of the Douro. Both of these rivers join the Douro near Pinhão, Torto from the south and Pinhão from the north, and both have superb microclimates, renowned for the quality of their wines for as long as Port has been made. In some of these Quintas the wine continues to be made by the traditional method of foot treading in granite lagares which produces first class Port.
1977 Quarles Harris is a "rich garnet colour. The wine has a magnificent bottle age bouquet and is exceptionally firm in the mouth. The tannins are beginning to soften but the excellent structure of the wine is immediately apparent on the palate. Excellent long finish." - SFE Tasting Room Team, 2008
