Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
Fabulous vintage 1980s tweed and velvet Guy Laroche Boutique suit.
A chic velvet collar gives added luxe to the jacket, which buttons up the front and features a matching belt. The skirt zips up the back with hook and eye closure. Fully lined and made in France.
French fashion designer Guy Laroche began his design career as a milliner, before becoming an assistant to Jean Dessès. Laroche founded his own atelier in the late 1950s, creating haute couture pieces with a practical nature. This suit, with its wide shoulders, nipped in waist and pencil skirt ending just above the knee are all typical features of the trend for 'power dressing' embraced during the 1980s.
