Left Hand Drive: One of only 219 Cars Produced.
The Rolls-Royce Corniche was first launched in 1971 as the most stately, elegant and exceptionally luxurious Convertible in the world. To this day the Corniche is regarded as one of the most desirable and distinctive, full four seat convertibles ever produced and represent a true symbol of prestige the world over.
The final version of the "Corniche Convertible" was introduced as a 1993 Model with the designation Corniche IV. Only 219 Series IV examples were ever built making it one of the rarest and hence most desirable of all Corniche Convertibles. Although this latest model carried over the elegant design of its predecessors, it benefited from adaptive suspension, a four-speed automatic transmission, driver and passenger airbags, a CFC-free air conditioning system and a completely new, automatic locking hood incorporating a glass rear window plus other detail improvements. Built to standard specification with a 6,750 cc overhead-valve V-8 engine with Bosch engine management system, independent suspension front and rear, and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
Our left-hand drive example was originally supplied new by Euro Motorcars; Finished in White with Tan hide interior with contrasting white piping. Fitted with a tan Everflex power hood and complemented by burr walnut veneers.
Factory features and options include:
- Cocktail cabinets to both doors
- Painted door mirrors
- Air horns
- Tinted 'sundym' glass
- Fitted phone
- Front fog lamps
We understood the car to have had just one owner from new until the Rolls-Royce was recently imported to the UK at the beginning of 2011 and has had all EU taxes paid. The car benefits from a newly fitted wool headliner and comes freshly serviced with new MOT. With a reading of only 56,592 miles on the odometer, this is a most desirable and well-presented Corniche IV.
