Château Ausone is a Bordeaux wine from the Saint-Émilion appellation; one of only two wines, along with Château Cheval Blanc, to be ranked Premier Grand Cru Classé (A) in the Classification of Saint-Émilion wine. The winery is located on the Right Bank of France's Bordeaux wine region in the Gironde department, close to the town of Saint-Émilion.

'The 1994 is a ripe, surprisingly rich, flattering style of Ausone that is vaguely reminiscent of the wonderful 1983. The color is a healthy ruby/purple and the nose jumps from the glass, offering up gobs of floral, sweet cassis, and mineral scents.
