Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
The 2006 Mastrojanni Brunello di Montalcino evolves from pleasantly sour to wide and palatable.
The Mastrojanni winery has been operating since 1970 when Gabriele Mastrojanni bought the farm after recognizing a great un-tapped potential for Brunello in Castelnuovo dell'Abate. Mastrojanni was one of the first producers of Brunello in the area.
The Brunello di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese (Brunello) grapes. The 2006 vintage is a deep ruby red with reflections from crimson to garnet. A light vanilla bouquet is accompanied by spices and tobacco leaf flavours. Initially pleasantly sour, then wide and palatable, it has an amazing sapidity that will complement game, grilled red meat and mature cheeses.
