Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
2007 Comtes Lafon Meursault is an exceptional white wine with huge power, complexity and total harmony.
Dominique Lafon is the leading producer in Meursault, with some of the deepest and coldest cellars in Burgundy. His vineyards are run on a biodynamic basis with no use of herbicides or chemical sprays, and all the wines are barrel-fermented, using new oak for the 1er Crus upwards. There is only one racking after the malolactic and the wines are bottled nearly two years after the vintage, one of the latest bottlings in Burgundy.
Meursault hints of hazelnuts, honey and vanilla in aromas and creamy for its texture. It has a unique combination of stony, mineral notes alongside ripe berry flavours. It's the bipolarity of the wine, the interplay of both factors, that makes Meursault one of the most sought after white wines in the world.
