Detail
A vintage 1920s Art Deco onyx and diamond ring. Of American origin, circa 1925. The onyx and diamond ring is typical of the art deco period's obsession with black and white and defined symmetry. This period is opitimized by the designs of the Parisian workhouse Cartier who were based on the fashionable 'Place Vendome' in Paris. This ring also shows off the American's love of carving the ring shank for extra decoration. An ideal birthday gift or eclectic engagement ring.
The central onyx weighs approximately 3cts with a further 0.75cts of diamonds.
