Austin Healey 3000 MKIII Left Hand Drive 1966
We are delighted to offer this original and desirable car which comes from the private collection of a business partner and close personal friend of Donald Healey.
This is a rare, original black late 3000 MKIII phase 2 which was built in September 1966 in left hand drive and then shipped to the USA. The interior is red and the car is fitted with adjustable steering column, wire wheels and an overdrive to the gearbox. The engine has been refurbished with just 300 miles driven (late 2010).
Patina and History
The car was known to the Healey family and the detailed history of the car will be made available to the new owners.
The car was featured as the exemplary Big Healey in the Dorling Kindersley book "The Ultimate Classic Car Book ", written by Quentin Wilson in 1995.
YMO 37F was used for the March 1998 Sun feature, "Austin Healey in an Austin Healey ", the celebrity rugby player.
The current owner bought the car in 1981 in the USA and is only the third owner.
