Cees Braakman (1917-1975) one of the most influential designers od the Netherlands, was inspired by the works of Eames at Herman Miller and introduced the bent plyood techniques to Pastoe creating their first line of modern furniture. Showing efficient and forward thinking, Braakman's designs paved the way for success for Pastoe during the 50s and 60s.This credenza in particular once sold for a record hammer price of $10,000 at Wright auctions in Chicago.
