Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
Vintage 1960s modernist Scandinavian teak and glass coffee table. Previously attributed to Illum Wikkelsö, this fine table was in fact designed by Swedish designer Fredrik Schriever-Abeln. The beautiful curved teak legs provide sculptural support to the heavy glass plate in this elegantly understated design.
The Scandinavian countries of Sweden, Denmark and Finland, and to a lesser extent Norway, produced accessible Modernist design pieces that were very stylish and instantly appealing. Scandinavian pieces such as this Fredrik Schriever-Abeln coffee table are still relevant and fresh today with their enduring and timeless design.
