1940s George Nelson Planter Table

Rare mid century modern vintage planter table by George Nelson for Herman Miller, US, 1948. The table holds an aluminium bowl in the center and the light yellow table top surrounding is a wonderful yellow, typical for that period. The table is captured in a wooden frame. A stunning piece in perfect and full original condition.

George Nelson is known as one of the founding fathers of American Modernism. While he was a Director of Design for the Herman Miller furniture company, Nelson and the design studio he founded created some of the 20th century's most iconic Modernist furniture.
