Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
This beautiful Hermès suitcase dates from the golden age of travel in the 1920s. The case is finished in a tan leather, with brass locks and studs. The interior is lined in a cream canvas with leather straps. The locks are stamped 'Hermès' and the leather is also impressed '24 Fg St Honours', the Hermès address.
Custom-made luggage and vanity cases became popular following the increase in travel amongst the affluent classes during the post-war 1920s. Beautifully crafted and stunning aesthetic pieces with extraordinary attention to detail, vintage luggage can make a statement storage solution within a room if too heavy for today's modern travel. These pieces evoke the glamour of the golden age of travel during the early 20th Century.
Hermès cases are rightly considered amongst the very best, with their attention to detail and high quality, and from which they gained the reputation that they still enjoy today. Hermès cases are very rare, and have become extremely collectible.
