Hobé rhinestone jeweled purse frame on a black glass beaded purse. The frame has unfoiled rhinestones in red, pink, green and clear set in gold tone wirework, circa 1950s. The frame of the purse is 2" by 6-1/3" at it widest, and the beaded body of the purse is about 5" by 9". You can see the vintage advertisement for this style purse in the black and white picture.
The name Hobé is synonymous with quality, especially in their earlier pieces. Originating in the 1920s, their wire-worked designs and fabulous stones create a unique old-world style.
