Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
Increasingly rare and very collectable 1960s French mirror. This piece is particularly special as, not only is it in a larger size than others, it has exquisite gold stems leading to the cut glass flowers around the frame. The "glass" flowers are the original design. As each flower is hand tied to each stem, the cost became too high for the manufacture to continue. For a short while, a cheaper version in plastic was made into the 1980s before the company ended production entirely.
Conveniently, the mirror unhooks to reveal the back lighting and takes on a whole new essence when lit.
Please note, the photo showing it illuminated is with a white stemmed mirror (also available from Vintage Seekers, please call +44 (0) 207 836 5596), but the effect is the same. Easily wires into existing UK electrics as you would a wall light. Alternatively can be kept on a cable and plugged straight into a wall socket.
