Handwritten note written and signed by Marilyn Monroe, dated to the 1950s.
Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962) is regarded as the most iconic female star that Hollywood ever produced. Singer, model and actress, she starred in popular movies such as The Seven Year Itch and Some Like It Hot, winning a Golden Globe for the latter.
In order to avoid typecasting as a 'dumb blonde', she applied herself to the cultivation of her acting skills by studying at the Actors Studio. Plagued by illness later in life, her tragic death was a great loss to Hollywood.
This single page, 6" x 10", features the actress' signature: "To Flo, Best Wishes, Marilyn Monroe". The letterhead reads: "Broadway Hill Seventh, Bullock's, Los Angeles, California, Fourth Floor Lounge".
The autograph is clearly written in blue pen. The document and the handwritten text are in excellent condition, two light horizontal folds, and a few trivial wrinkles.
