1949 travel poster for Morecambe and Heysham, featuring a sunny coastal scene. Designed by Claude Buckle for British Railways. Good condition, linen backed.

Claude Buckle (1905-1973) originally worked as an architect, painting in his spare time, before becoming a full-time artist. Buckle is one of the most prolific railway poster artists, producing 85 posters and 25 carriage prints from the pre-war years to 1963.

Original vintage travel posters are highly collectible.
