Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
1995 Nyetimber Classic Cuvée English sparkling wine, case of six bottles.
This is a celebrated English vintage from the prestigious Nyetimber estate in West Sussex. Their wines have received international acclaim, with their premium sparkling whites likened to those of Champagne. Their exceptional wines are an expression of the advantageous terroir, and The Classic Cuvée is the unique expression of the Nyetimber estate.
This particular product is created from the delicate white Chardonnay grape together with black Pinot Noir and Pinot Meniur fruit. Expert blending or 'assemblage' is applied to create a sublime structure and complexity in each vintage. The Cuvée is suitably produced using classic methods, involving secondary fermentation in the bottle before ageing within for at least three years.
The 1995 Nyetimber Classic Cuvée is a fine, deep gold with a soft bead. The rich aromatics speak of strawberries, vibrant red fruits and a comforting note of honey. The wine's Pinot Noir character tends to dominate, however, the Chardonnay contributes a floral thread subtly to the biscuit base. The taste starts with a fruity burst evolving into rich dessert territory with chocolate, caramel and macaroons on the end. The texture brings an exuberant but pleasant feel on the palette, improved by an enduring length. This 1995 Nyetimber vintage is ready to drink, but may be kept maturing.
