The Skyline series was inspired by the ever-changing sunsets that Peter Layton witnessed from the south-facing windows of his studio. Inspiration was also drawn from a subsequent visit to Arizona, where the turquoise skies and rich sandstones had a lasting impact on the designer, affecting both his choice of colours as well as their application.
