1980s Shultz Bakelite Apple Juice with Black Dots Bangles 1980s Shultz Bakelite Apple Juice with Black Dots Bangles

Shultz bakelite apple juice bangles with four black dots, set of two, 2-1/2" by 3/4" by 1/3" (6.4 by 1.9 by .8 cm). Ron and Ester Shultz make some of the most charming, colorful and interesting bakelite jewellery being crafted in the late 20th century, and have by far the best finish as Ron's craftsmanship is second to none. Ron started making these wonderful pieces in the 1980s and continues on a very limited basis today. They utilize 1930-1940s pieces of bakelite, which they re-work, carve, laminate and paint to create their pieces. His pieces are created one at a time and all by the Shultz's alone, not mass produced. Many pieces are one-of-a-kind. Not only are they talented and creative, but their jewelry is extremely wearable and collectible. One of the most fun parts of having a wardrobe of Shultz bangles is the way they can be mixed and matched to create many different looks and moods, and to go with almost any style. There is an entire book about their wonderful work "Shultz Bakelite Jewelry" by Karima Parry. If you want to have a real moment, walk into a room with a stack of Shultz on your arm!
