Thierry Mugler created his first personal collection in 1973. Mugler, along with Claude Montana and Azzedine Alaïa, was known for his high fashion 'dominatrix' style, with a typical silhouette of an exaggerate 1950s hourglass shape. With a vast range from space age dresses to ball gowns, Mugler was particularly famous for his exquisitely cut suits.
