Curating a Heritage Lifestyle
This super vintage leather suitcase was made by Thomas Russell of Edinburgh around 1910 and is in excellent condition. The leather has a beautiful patina, and all the studs are gleaming brass. The case still has its original key. This case would be wonderful to use as either a piece of furniture or for on the back of a classic car.
Custom-made luggage and vanity cases became popular following the increase in travel amongst the affluent classes during the post-war 1920s. Beautifully crafted and stunning aesthetic pieces with extraordinary attention to detail, vintage luggage can make a statement storage solution within a room if too heavy for today's modern travel. These pieces evoke the glamour of the golden age of travel during the early 20th Century.
