1960s Yves Saint Laurent Red Boucle Jacket

Iconic vintage Yves Saint Laurent boucle wool jacket in a beautiful shade of raspberry, made exclusively for Fortnum & Mason from the mid 1960s. Extremely rare! Brass coloured buttons. Fully lined.

At the age of just 21, Yves Saint Laurent became head designer at Christian Dior, before establishing his own fashion house in 1961. His most famous piece, Le Smoking tuxedo, introduced androgynous dressing as the sexiest thing a woman can do. Among YSL's muses were Chanel model Betty Catroux and actress Catherine Deneuve.
