Hublot and Ferrari: The Next Generation

Ferrari and Hublot broke the news of their long-term partnership at the 2011 Ferrari World Finals at Mugello.

Friday 11th November, 2011

Commencing on 1 January 2012, Swiss luxury watch brand Hublot will exchange technologies and design principles with the Italian motoring giant to evolve a series 'Ferrari' Hublot timepieces.

The two brands were reportedly brought together by Lapo Elkannfriend, the Fiat heir and friend of Hublot’s President Jean Claude Biver.

The first product of this partnership will be a limited edition of 20 Hublot ‘Classic Fusion Ferrari Tourbillon Chronographs’.  The Guandong Motor Show in November has been named as the occasion at which these timepieces will be unveiled and just one example will be sold in each Ferrari’s 20 new stores across China.

This marks the start of an exciting generation of expertise sharing between the two industries; although markedly different in scale and function, the two brands are united by the shared values of manufacturing high performance luxury products.

Further hybrid designs under consideration include the manufacture of a Ferrari with a Hublot watch built into the cockpit, and incorporating hi-tech materials found in Ferrari's road and Formula One cars into Hublot timepieces.
