Omega is one of the first to make its mark, as the brand is releasing a special update of the incredibly popular Seamaster Diver 300m – the watch worn by 007 in every adventure since GoldenEye.
To underscore the reason for its release, The James Bond 007 50th Anniversary Collector's Piece is engraved with the number ‘50’ in red lettering and a 007 monogram on its lacquered black dial.
Created in two sizes, the 41 mm and 36.25 mm, the watch features ceramic bezel rings with diving scales in matt chromium nitride within a stainless steel case. The 41 mm is being produced in a limited edition of 11,007 pieces, while 3,007 of the smaller version will be made.
As one would expect from a timepiece endorsed by gadget-loving Bond, the 007 Collector's Piece boasts the revolutionary Co-Axial escapement and Omega’s calibre 2507 self-winding movement – the component that has driven a revolution in mechanical watchmaking since it was launched in 1999. It is a certified chronometer and, as the name suggests, water resistant up to 300 metres.
Though its has the technical credentials to be used by professional divers, undoubtedly this limited edition Omega watch will equally appeal to the many fans of the Bond series.
